Ahlan w Sahlan.....
Welcome to St. Katherine and the Sinai.

Who is AWAY AWAY?.......
AWAY AWAY is an initiative of Karin Bavinck and Amr Sabry. Amr came to the Sinai in 1991, and has never left. Karin came to the Dahab in 1997, planning to stay for just a year. But one year turned into two and after that she decided to stay in the Sinai and not to go back to the Netherlands. Amr and Karin are joint owners of restaurant Carm Inn (in Dahab). In their free time they love going out into the Sinai, discovering new places. They fell in love with the area around St. Katherine after discovering the valleys and mountains surrounding the village with their amazing ancient old trees and variety of fragrant herbs. They also got involved with the Jabaliya Bedouins, their life and problems (shortage of work, water, medical care). With AWAY AWAY Karin and Amr not only want to hep you enjoy your stay in the Sinai but also offer support to the Jabaliya and the environment of St. Katherine High Mountain Area (which forms a part of Bedouin life and culture). |
