Al Karm is a Bedouin owned and managed ecolodge situated in the beautiful surroundings of Wadi Gharba near Sheikh Awaad and Naqb el Hawa, the old pilgrims route to the monastery of St Katherine. Its remoteness makes it an unique destination for eco tourists and peace-seeking visitors. It is also very suitable for workshops and training courses.

Here guests will experience the time-honoured hospitality and culture of the Jabaliya Bedouins in the simple comfort of the lodge. From Al Karm you can examine a Bronze age settlement, wonder at mysterious Nabatean village or be guided through the surrounding mountains learning some of the desert's secrets .

Al Karm operates on the principles of simplicity and minimal environmental impacts : there is no electricity, but it has solar heated showers, sanitary compost toilets, a kitchen and dining facilities. The six rooms can accommodate up to 30 guests.
