St. Katherine Monastery

The Guesthouse of St Katherine Monastery is outside the monastery walls, next to the monastery gardens. There are 52 rooms, all with private bathroom, hot water and room heating.

There is a restaurant that serves breakfast and dinner, and a coffee shop for drinks and snacks.

Convent of Wadi Feran

Although outside of the St. Katherine Protectorate, the guesthouse of the convent of Wadi Feran is worth mentioning. The convent lies next to the ruins of the ancient monastery. There are only a handful of Greek nuns still living in this convent. There are a small number of rooms for guests. The rooms have recently been renewed, the rooms now have air-conditioning, shower & toilet with hot water. There is also a family suite with 2 bedrooms and a salon. There is a cafeteria and dinner can be prepared. Fresh fruits from the own orchard are for sale.

It is a nice place to spend the night for those coming from or going to Cairo or for those wishing to explore this interesting area of the Sinai.
