Abu Galum  

Abu Galum Protected Area lies between Dahab and Nuweiba. It is one of the most picturesque protectorates with its high mountains, narrow wadis, coastal sand dunes, gravel alluvial fans and raised fossil reefs. This area houses approx. 165 plant species of which 14 are only found here. The coastal area has relatively undisturbed coral reefs. Entrance points are marked along the coast, don't enter at other points!

On the southern point of the alluvial fan a bedouin settlement is situated. There are a few shops where high necessities can be bought. You can also enjoy the hospitality of the Bedouins, spend the night in one of their huts, enjoy a meal of fresh fish and just relax.

In the mountain area their are some beautiful trekking possibilities. Ask one of the bedouins as a guide.
