Ein Hudra, a picturesque small palm tree oasis surrounded by white sandstone mountains, is one of the most frequented places during safaris. In the high season it can get fairly busy.
From the road Nuweiba-St. Katherine a short walk takes you past a rock called the Rock of Inscriptions, with inscriptions in a number of languages (Nabatean, Greek, Raman, Byzantine) including inscriptions from crusaders.
Walking further you reach a white sandstone ridge from where you have a beautiful panoramic view over Ein Hudra. A snake path zigzags down to the valley. Other hikes around Ein Hudra lead you through the White Canyon and the Closed Canyon.
