Forest of Pillars   

The so called Forest of Pillars, situated at Gebel Fuga east of Serabit el Khadim, is one of the most remarkable geological curiosities of the Sinai. Large amounts of tubular columns of black lava are driven up like stalagmites from the surrounding reddish-yellow sandstone rocks.
